Dear Sir:
The boy you call my protégé will leave here next Thursday 29th and let you know of it as I have been told you use to send somebody to meet boys at their arrival.
His name is Eulogio Garcia, and is my step-brother.
I beg you to oblige him to take a good care of himself so is that he does not get a cold.
Yours Very Truly,

Wednesday.
Dear Colonel:
If García leaves Havana Thursday he ought to arrive at Charleston on Saturday at about 5 p.m. (see time table ACL) Please have some one at the train to meet and conduct him to barracks.
I hope he knows enough English to on with the other Cubans; if not you may have to take him as my mornings and afternoons are taken up. If you give my section in Physics back to the professors n charge of that Dept. I will be able to manage. I hope all are well and that little Paul is rapidly on the mend.
Affectionately Yours,
Jesse
