My very good Sir:
I have the honor of responding to your letter from the 3rd of this same month, describing that my son Luis Lynn and that [Maó Kie], carrier of this may pass this on to join the Academy of his dignified direction, and in effect he will deliver a money order of a hundred pesos ($100.00) for the first quota of the present course. Ignoring the occurrence of some large expense, I imagine that if that happened you would politely make me an immediate warning for me to pay it.
I am excited that my son Luis, can pursue his studies in the home of his father, who was from this city, and with this title I take the liberty to support with no shortage of good advice to my son that he will no doubt know to take advantage of.
I await your attentive reply and orders attentively your humble servant which kisses your hand,
Cárlos E. Lynn
