Dear Pop,

Scott is using the typewriter so I hope you can struggle through my handwriting. Got your letter this morning that you wrote Sunday and got one Saturday that you wrote Friday.

I sure had a big time this past week-end [sic]. Friday night we had a swell mess hall. Saturday when we got off Charle Wrenn, boy from Kannapolis, N. C., and I went over to Edisto Beach. Saw Taver Greene from Sumter and also Charles Penny. Its a dead beach and there aren't many girls over there. Sunday I just rested and did some work on a speech I had to make today and some

Work on an English theme. Am afraid that I have been having to big a time on the week-ends [sic] this quarter and am not studying enough. Hope to pass everything but never can tell until its all over. Economics and English are giving me fits this quarter. I think that I am picking up a lot in Physics.

I took over my white uniform today to be cleaned. Will get everything right for March Minter wedding. Major Ressejac called me over Thursday and told me of his talk with you. He is down on me now because my roomate [sic] and I submitted O.C.’s to the president about a matter we were pulled for. Will bring it home and show it to you. It cost me 6 tours.

John Danner came by Friday and I gave him your bag. Please forgive

Me for not getting it to you sooner.

Think that I will be home about 2:30 or 3 o’clock this Friday. Hope I can talk one of my Professors into letting me leave a little early.

Saw in tonights paper where they have finnally [sic] closed in in the Black Market over in Leesville. I share your delight and expect that the auto business will fare a little better now. I also saw in the paper where the S. C. auto dealer would meet a Myrtle Beach here pretty soon. Bet you are looking forward to a big time.

Guess I had better close now as I want to write Mother.

Love,
Son.

P.S. I am in good financial shape - thanks to you.
