Tuesday

Dearest,

As you might well have imagined from yesterdays letter, I have run out of stationary and my allowance hasn’t come yet so I do hope you’ll bear with me for a few days. I only can judge by my own feelings on the matter and I know I’d be glad to hear from you regardless of what it was written on. Thank you for being so understanding.

Today was not a very pleasant one for me. My sunburn gave me quite a bit of trouble and then my typhoid shot started acting up. All and all it didn’t make me too pleasant a person. The weather was nice, real nice. The sun came out and put the temperature over 80° for many hours. All in all, I’m glad it’s over and I’m enjoying myself for a little while writing you. Unfortunately

this doesn’t last too long. Then the books! What a pleasant thought?!

That cold of yours had better be gone by now! I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ll have to hurry and graduate and make my first million so I can take care of you. It seems as if you don’t do such a good job yourself and I really want the job.

So far I am an extremely brilliant student. I have an A in every course. The reason - no tests! They will start soon and when they start I’m afraid they will just keep coming at a clip faster than I hate to think about. This is an extremely short quarter (Thank God) and they really throw the work at you. But - so far, so good!

I just realised [sic] that I may be writing this letter to you and you will not be around to receive it. How about sending me your address in Washington so I can

write to you there. Along with the adress [sic] I would appreciate the exact dates. See what you can do for me. Another thing, please have such a good time that you’ll want to go back during the summer. I would really love that for two reason. First of all, I really enjoy hearing that you have been enjoying yourself and secondly you must know how much I’d love to spend time with you.

Well, sweets, be good and stay well. Give my best to your folks and the gang and please tell them I hope their Easter Vacation is an exceptionally fine one. As for you - I do hope yours is as pleasant as possible and I do send all my love to try and make it a better if that will help any. Honey, I miss you an awful lot and do wish I could be home to be with you on your vacation and any other time but - well, someday. Love you as much as anyone possibly could -

All my love -
Arty
