My Dearest “Boobie”,
I’ve just returned from home and am now getting ready for my term of night duty. Just the thoughts of it make me sleepy before I start. Don’t know how I’ll manage 100 or more patients, but if the others can I can too.
There’s no need for me to tell you how much I enjoyed being at home. It was like a vacation for me to be able to spend two nights there. I get spoiled a little every time I go. Passed away the time by getting out all of your letters and reading them. They’re such nice letters and you’re such a nice person and I love you dearly.
Thought surely I’d have some mail from you when I returned this afternoon but was disappointed again. I feel that a letter will come one day soon
[Page 2]
though and how I wish that day would hurry and get here. Think that I was a little spoiled before when the mail came so regularly, but now I know what it’s really like not to hear often and have you so far away. It’s no nice feeling, but I’m trying to keep a stiff upper lip.
Can’t tell you much about my night duty etc. I’ll be able to give you a report on that tomorrow.
I hope and pray that things are well with you. Take care of yourself for me -
All my love,
“Lib”
