My Darling,

I went down town [sic] this morning with two of the other girls and purchased myself an Easter bonnet. It’s a scream and I know you’d laugh. If I remember correctly, you don’t like hats very much. You used to didn’t want me to wear one but I find it necessary on some occasions.

No mail from you, but I had a letter from Mama this afternoon. She sent one that Jake had written to her. He’s out at sea somewhere and seemed to be so blue and homesick. Talking about having nothing to do but look at water and more water. Of course, that made Mama cry and start worrying about him all over again.

[Page 2]

His letter wasn’t mailed until they got into port somewhere. He hopes to run into you someday and I wish that he could.

How is your sun tan now and your weight? It might be foolish for me to ask, but I wonder if you could have some more pictures made and send me some. I know that you have a birthday soon and I’m remembering but don’t know what I can send - wish you’d let me know if there’s anything you need.

Don’t know very much to write about but I’ll be off this 230-1100 duty after one more week and my letters should be a little more interesting then. The mornings are so short now after I get up ‘till I don’t have a chance to keep up with the outside.

Take care of yourself for me!

All my love,
“Lib”
