Dear Col:
Will you please let me know if there is anything dire on account of my son Lawrence for 8 days in April. I do regret exceedingly the recent unfortunate disturbance at the Citadel, and from the first have maintained that every cadet who participated in the affair should be expelled. Let me say however, what I cannot accept as correct, the views expressed by Lieut McDonald, in the interview reported in this mornings News & Courier. With the assurance dear Colonel of continued esteem I am

Sincerely Yours
L. J. Walker
