Mr. C. S. Gadsen, Chairman,

South Carolina Military Academy

Charleston, S.C.

Dear Sir:-

This letter will be handed to you together with the warrants of appointment as cadets to the South Carolina Military Academy for Masters Manuel and Carlos Labrada.

Neither of these boys know anything of English and I hope you will do all you possibly can for them. Please furnish them with the necessary clothing required by the academy and send me the bill when I will immediately remit.

P.S. Enclosed also, please find 3 days sight draft on J. A. Medina & Co. of New York for $200.00 U.S. Cy.
