Dearest “Boobie”,

There’s not much for me to write about except to let you know that I’m alright and everything was fine at home. Mama came back to Columbia with me this afternoon and we saw “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” together. I still think it was grand and we cried. Movies always make me feel that way unless it’s very gay - Mama went back home tonight and I came back to the Nurse’s Home. Have to go on duty at eleven but I’m not ready. Really don’t feel up to it without any sleep today but will go anyway - Don’t like this business of having one night off a week. It just messes up my routine. Had

much rather have them all off together, but that’s too much to ask for. After all, I have no right to complain.

I was hoping that I’d have some mail from you when I got in this afternoon but didn’t. Perhaps tomorrow. Wish the mail would start coming in as it used to. I was spoiled then. When it doesn’t take your letters so long to get here, I feel that you are much closer to me.

Please take care of yourself for me. I love you with all my heart.

All my love,
“Lib”
