My Darling,
Received your sweet letters today that is the V mail ones. Yes, I received the V mail before the air mail. Know that air mail reaches home much faster. Want you to write both kinds however as I get tired of one kind.
Seems as if all I can write about is that I’m still playing baseball and volley ball [sic]. Took time off from the hospital and went over to our outfit this afternoon to play baseball. Sure am getting a lot of exercise.
How about you. You aren’t getting fat are you. You had better not.
Sorry you haven’t heard from your [sic] and hope that you will hear from him soon.
All my love
Manning
