Dearest “Lib”,
Wrote you recently and said that I’d inclose [sic] the letter from Pat Myerson the next time that I sent an air mail letter. Well here it is. It sure has been trailing me.
I wonder what you are doing now. Suppose you are in Columbia by now. Suppose you have all the scandal from Columbia by now. Sorry to hear about McCoy. Guess you can’t trust a man and I might add that it goes for the oposite [sic] also. I didn’t make this statement for your benefit because I know you will be true to me. Suppose you and Ruby have seen all of the picture shows. Know that she is busy talking at this

very moment.
Have you seen any of my folks lately? They are suppose [sic] to send me The State. So I’ll get the news even if its [sic] a month old.
I’m not with my outfit at the present time but am not so far away. Haven’t seen Captain Dunaway for about a week. Guess I’ll be away for several more weeks.
Saw the picture show last night for a change. That seems to be the main attraction around here. In fact its [sic] the only attraction except swimming in the river. It sure is cold water and it takes me full 30 minutes before I can decide to jump in. Have you ever gotten to see the picture show “Quadacanal.” [sic]
All my love.
Manning
