Dear son,
We’re all looking forward to hearing good news from you this week. The whole Mosho family is in your corner son.
Today’s Sunday and that means another week has ended and another to start. And for the week’s news…David’s team won yesterday, score 8 to 6 and David had 2 “buckets”. How’s that, “he’s the greatest.” I believe you’ve heard that, from David him-self. Linda is going to get paid $2.50 per hour (2 hrs. A month) for teaching Judo at the “Y.” Lady just got chased off a pillow she was sleeping on. Another long week at work for your mother. And me, I almost have my second oil painting finished and also the cellar is almost finished. Our good old buddy Yamy (Tamy?), sent me some time studies to work up while I’m at home.
The weather has up and until today been quite mild, but the temperature is dropping to 18 degrees tonight so we have a fire in the fireplace. The den is nice and warm and I think everyone is falling asleep after the big supper we had. Except David, he didn’t eat and is in the doghouse right now. Hope your Sunday dinner was as good.
How’s your money holding out son? We’ll send a check the first of the month, unless you’re broke right now. Is there anything you need? Any more news on the spring break? No matter what comes up, when you’re home this summer before
[Page 2]
You go for “bulldog”, you’re going to do some serious shooting, rifle & pistol and no mercy shown. I’ve taught future officers to shoot well and I don’t want you to finish anything but “tops.” So we have alot of work ahead and it’ll make B.V’s look like a postponed S.M.I.
[Drawing of cadet with one leg lifted and words “Hell No! I’m no Summerall Guard. I just can’t get my leg down, sir!!”]
Take care and write when you can.
Love,
Mom & Dad
