Sunday Morning.
Dear Pop,
Well since you can’t read my writing I hope you can read my typing. I will type most of my letters to you from now on if I can borry [sic] a typewriter often enough. Thanks a lot for that ride down here with your Wife.
I am now majoring in Business Administration. I am behind only in Spanish in this Major. This quarter I am taking 24 hours. The business course does not call for but 21 but I am taking a political science course extra. I sent Mother a copy of my [illegible deletion] schedule. I think statistics and Economics will help me more than any of the other courses because they are courses of business only.
In another three weeks I will be home again. We get a whole week off easter. I sure will be glad. By that time I hope to have a lot accomplished towards completing the first quarter of this Sophomore year. I passed all my subjects last quarter and am a full fledged Soph. Took the check over to Col. Tiller and found out what I would get back in case I am draft-ed.
Scott and I joined the yacth [sic] club yesterday and worked down there almost all day on damming up a stream. I took of my shirt and got blistered. Its about to kill me but I hope to get relief soon.
Well I had better close now as I have to get in a little nap before dinner. “ill [sic] write you all about the middle of the week.
Love,
[Handwritten] W. A. McElveen Jr.
