Dear Mom

It isn’t but three o’clock and am already in uniform. Boy I sure have a lot to learn. It isn’t so tuff [sic] yet but in another hour all parents have to leave and things will tighten up. Ray and I have a pretty good room. Please send me right away ration book 3. Send it to Cadet W. A. McElveen Box 1332, Citadel station Charleston, S.C. Will write you a letter and tell all when I get a chance.

Love Son
