Dear Sir: -
I have to report the following named Cadets as deserters from the Academy; viz:
G. R. Tennent (P) 2nd Class – on the afternoon of the 8th inst.
C. H. EsDorn (P) 3rd Class, and W. H. Farrior (P) 4th Class, on the evening of the 9th inst.

Noted – This offense is punished by expulsion is it not? & is it to be done by my order or by BV?

With only one exception it has been the practice of the Chairman to order expulsion on the report of the Superintendent in cases of desertion. The exception was on account of the nearness of the meeting of the Board.
