Dear Mother, Daddy, and Sandy,
They just blew tattoo and I have to go to bed in 45 minutes. This morning I had my first college classes and they reminded me of Boys’ High except they are small. My first class was Military Sciences with Maj. Sessoms. Second, algebra with Lt. Blackburn, third, history with Lt. Hargreave, and fourth chemistry lab with Lt. Henderson. They all seem to be very nice and very good and capable teachers.
I have gotten the books that I need in those classes.
I look like the “surry with the fringe on top” haircut I got this afternoon for 65 cents. We heard a lecture by Col. Futch this afternoon. He was very inspiring.
This article is the third and last and best of the

series.
No letters today. I studied from 7:30 to 10:00 tonight. All ready [sic] lots of homework. I go to German and English for the first time tomorrow.
Have to go to bed now.
Lots of love,
Jimmy
