Dear Daddy & Mother, Had a good trip up here. Met 3 fellows on trip [word crossed out] from Augusta and 1 from Birmingham which I am rooming tonight with. Tomorrow at 9 AM starts school. Had a good meal tonight lots of milk, fried potatoes, tomatoes, corn and very good pork chops. School is very pretty. Every body [sic] is very nice.
