Grimsley is a graduate of The Citadel’s Class of 1942 and served as President of The Citadel from 1980-1898. This interview relates to Grimsley’s active duty service from 1942-1945 as a commissioned officer in the 77th Infantry Division, U.S. Army, in pre-deployment training and in overseas operations, Pacific Theater (Guam, Philippines, Okinawa Campaigns).
