Description
James Walter Lea, Class of 1917, was from Florence County, South Carolina. He matriculated to The Citadel at the age of 16. During his cadet years Lea was on the football team, a member of the Polytechnic literary and debate society, served on the Honor Committee, was an associate editor for the Sphinx yearbook, was chair of the Picnic Committee, and in his senior year served as Captain of Company D.
This photograph album, donated by Lea's family, features pictures from the football and baseball team, cadet encampments, friends, faculty members, and trips around Charleston.
