Tuesday

Dearest Flo,

I do hope you have been a good girl since I have left. It really isn’t as bad as you make it seem. Remember chin up, and smile.

My trip down was quite an enjoyable one. I met quite a few of my friends on the train and we had a good time all night. We parked ourselves in the club car and there we did remained the whole trip. I never even put one finger on the chair I had reserved for me.

We sang and I only had one beer but there were many that had quite a

bit more than one beer. The drunks were sy simply histerical [sic]. They never got nasty and had everybody rolling in the isles. I don’t believe I could have laughed any harder or longer. There was only one thing that was wrong. I had to see the show by myself and I would much rather have had a certain young lady keeping me company and laughing with me.

I got my program today and it is a real beauty. I didn’t think I’d have to work very hard I was wrong. With all these courses I’ll be working as hard if not harder than last quarter. I figure, though, that if we both really study hard and try and concentrate and on our work the time

should pass fairly quickly.

I would like to write on but I can’t keep my eyes open.

Be good, study hard and remember, honey. I love you -

All my love,
Arty
