This athletic medal is embossed with the image of a crouching sprinter and engraved with "Presented By The Class of 1890" and "Athletics." The top bar is engraved with "The Citadel." The reverse is engraved with the following names: "E. B. Antley '12. W. T. Folger '13, '14. J. L. Weeks '15, '16. J. L. Weeks '17." This medal was awarded to J. L. Weeks, Class of 1917.

This Cadet Polytechnic Society pin features a gold circular medal with a blue background and the letters "C. P. S." stamped above a book, lamp, quill and ink. A gold ring encircles the blue with the French motto "La Verite Vainc," which translates to "The Truth Wins," and the founding date of 1847 and 1883. On top of the circle is an eagle surrounded by cannons and flags. The medal is suspended from a top bar with "S. C. M. A." inscribed on it. The reverse is engraved with the initials "AHM" for A. H. Marchant, Class of 1896.

S." and the motto "Sapere Aude," which is Latin for "Dare to be wise." The medal is also inscribed with the dates 1845 (the founding date of the society) and 1883 (the date that the society was restarted when The Citadel reopened after the Civil War). The medal is suspended from a blank top bar. The pin belonged to Henry S. Hartzog, Class of 1886.

The Colonel Christopher Schultz Gadsden Memorial Award was first awarded in 1976. From the 1975-1976 Guidon:<br /><ul><li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">In memory of Colonel Gadsden, Class of 1852.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Given annually to the “best all-round civil engineering graduate” as selected by the civil engineering faculty.</span></li>
</ul>
Besides being a member of the Class of 1852, Gadsden was also a member of the Board of Visitors from 1886-1898 and served as Chairman from 1898 until his death in 1915.<br /><br />The gold medal is round and the obverse is embossed with a branch of leaves and engraved with "Colonel Christopher Schultz Gadsden Award." It is suspended from a red, white and blue ribbon.

This silver marksmanship medal is an octagonal shape and is embossed with "The Citadel" and a laurel wreath. In the center is a raised rectangle with the words "Valor" and "Virtue" and other symbols. The medal is suspended from a top bar that is embossed with crossed rifles and a bullseye. The reverse of the medal is engraved with "O. L. Rogers." Orville Rogers was a member of the Class of 1938.

The Palmetto Medal was first awarded in 1967. From the 1966-1967 Guidon:<br /><ul><li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">This award was established by the Board of Visitors to recognize exceptional performances reflecting great credit on The Citadel or the State of South Carolina.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">The award may be to a member of the Corps of Cadets, alumni, faculty or staff of The Citadel or any other person whose service to the college or state is deemed worthy of consideration.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">The Palmetto Medal will take precedence over all other honors awarded by The Citadel with exception of honorary degrees.</span></li>
</ul>
Today, two Palmetto Medals are awarded per year, one to a cadet and one to a non-cadet.<br /><br />The gold medal is the Citadel seal on the obverse and on reverse, the following is engraved: "For Meritorious Service Presented To _ By The Board of Visitors." The medal is suspended from a navy blue ribbon and a gold top bar that is engraved with "The Palmetto Medal."
